Dr. Jack Anderson
Dr. Jack Anderson is a clinical psychologist serving as consultant and Director for the Officer Care and Development department at THQ. He has been a California State Licensed Psychologist since 1987 and is a soldier (member) of the Pasadena Tabernacle corps (church). Jack has ministry degrees from Asbury Seminary (MDiv) and Princeton Seminary (ThM), and earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary (PhD). His consultation includes working with individuals, families and groups in integrating psychological health with Christian beliefs and ministry. In addition to his primary work with the Army, he provides member care and consultation with mission organizations positioned in several Asian countries. He also conducts psychological evaluations for ministry candidates in several denominations. He considers his therapeutic orientation to be in the realms of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Psychology and Existential Psychology. Jack is married to Barbara, a recently retired nurse manager at UCLA. They have two adult daughters, Laura and Julia, and four grandchildren.
Dr. Andrew Barton
Andrew currently serves as Vice President for Advancement at Azusa Pacific University, and has an earned Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership. Andrew was a member of the Pasadena Tabernacle Corps, and an employee with The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters in Los Angeles and Territorial Headquarters in London.
Mr. Henry Bazak
Henry is a retired Senior Project Engineer at The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA. Henry is a registered Professional Engineer in CA and has over 40 years of engineering management and design experience. His expertise is in large space-based systems and space business development/management. Henry has earned an Executive MBA from UCLA, an MSEE from San Diego State University, and a BSEE from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Henry is married and has one daughter.
Dr. Dean Colli
Dean serves as the Board Secretary and past Chair of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee. He became a co-owner and Vice President of PPL, Inc. in 2012. PPL is an executive search and selection consulting firm with California Community College Districts as its primary clients. As of January 2021, Dean was conferred Owner-Emeritus status and continues to serve as a consultant. Since 2009, he has assisted numerous CEO and executive level searches at the District and campus level. In 2007, Dean retired as interim President of Grossmont College, a position he held during his last two years after serving as the College’s Vice President for Academic Affairs since 1999. He has extensive experience with California Community College assessment and accreditation matters. Dr. Colli earned his doctoral degree from the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Sharon Docter
Sharon Docter is a Professor of Communication at California Lutheran University, where she has served as Chair of the Faculty, Chair of the Appointment, Rank and Tenure Committee, and as a Department Chair. She serves as the Chair of the Academic Committee of the Board. She received her Ph.D. from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California, her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and her B.A. in English from UCLA. She is a member of the California Bar and worked as an Associate Attorney with the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. Docter currently serves as the Corps Sergeant Major of The Salvation Army Pasadena Tabernacle Corps.
Mr. Lou Drobnick
In August 2022, Lou retired as the Senior Vice-Chancellor for Development at Pepperdine University. He is a visiting faculty member at the College who speaks as a lecturer in Business classes on the fundraising roles of officers, and he is a volunteer with The Salvation Army. Mr. Drobnick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Long Beach State University and an Executive Master in Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
Lt. Colonel Shari Fowler
Shari has been an officer for 32 years, commissioned in 1992 in the “Followers of Jesus” session of cadets. She has served in 14 different appointments in 5 different states and in the Republic of the Marshall Islands where she was responsible for developing and leading the Ministry Training Center. She has served in multiple Corps appointments and spent 15 years in recovery ministry. She has a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Counseling. She has been married 36 years, has four adult children and five grandchildren.
Dr. James Hartman
Jim served as Director of Institutional Planning and Accreditation at CFOT from August of 2008 to August of 2017. He had served as Chair of the College’s Advisory Board for several years and during the Northridge Earthquake served on the Public Information staff of the College in 1994. He has extensive knowledge of higher education having worked at the Vice-Presidential level at Ohio University, Radford University and California State University, Dominguez Hills as a graduate faculty/administrator. Prior to serving in the accreditation area at CFOT, he served as the Finance Officer at Chadwick School, a distinguished private K-12 school on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. He has extensive experience with international education, residential learning programs, student recruitment and enrollment, and the assessment of student learning.
Jhoana Hirasuna
Jhoana Hirasuna is the Executive Director of Foothill Unity Center Inc, a non-profit serving low-income families and individuals. Her 20+ year career includes six and a half years with the Salvation Army Pasadena and 12 years with Pacific Clinics Passageways, working with people experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance abuse. She holds a B.A. from CSU Fullerton and an MSW from Arizona State University.
Lieutenant Shane Ingram
Lt. Shane Ingram began his journey with the ministry of The Salvation Army nearly a decade ago as a volunteer in the Moreno Valley Social Services Office. His continued answer to God’s call allowed him to serve in various capacities, leading family services, as well as youth and adult ministries within the Inland Empire. Lt. Ingram was commissioned as an Officer in 2021, graduating as president of the “Messengers of Reconciliation” session. He served his first appointment in the beautiful Northwest Division as the Corps Officer in Anacortes, Washington. Presently, Lt. Shane serves alongside his new bride Jocelyn, as the Corps Officers and Administrators of The Anaheim Corps and Community Center. His passions for discipleship, recovery ministries, and youth/family services play an important role in his ministry to God’s people.
Ms. Elizabeth Kronbeck
Beth is the chair of the Social Sciences division at Glendale Community College. Additionally, she is a tenured professor, served on the Curriculum & Instruction Committee, served on the Academic Senate, Program Review Committee, and as the Faculty Coordinator of Accreditation and Planning. She has a MA in History from CSULA, a MA in American Studies from CSUF and a BA in English from UCLA.
Mr. Chris Looney
Chris Looney, the Founder and CEO of Fulcrum Nonprofit Leadership, has committed his professional life to the advancement of the nonprofit sector. Today, Chris is most interested in elevating the field of nonprofit leadership and the capacity of nonprofit executives to succeed. For nearly 25 years, Chris provided advice, guidance, and support to hundreds of organizations in his role as a senior leader for CCS Fundraising, one of the nation’s largest and most successful fundraising consulting firms. During his tenure with the firm, Chris partnered with thousands of nonprofit executives and hundreds of clients, facilitating billions of dollars to be raised. Through the years, Chris also served in key leadership positions connected to the nonprofit sector and philanthropy. After decades working on the front lines of fundraising and strategy, guiding, and advising a multitude of nonprofits and nonprofit executives on philanthropic initiatives, Chris developed the Fulcrum concept alongside his other companies and book writing efforts. Chris is the author of two fundraising books, The Five Tool Fundraiser and 365 Fundraising Truisms. Chris and his wife, Anisha, live in Irvine, California with their three children. The family is actively involved with the local public school district, local little league, a number of charities, and Mariners Church.
Ms. Pili Martinez Moore
Pili Martinez Moore has supported Corps Ministries in the Western Territory for over 20 years. Her main goal is to advocate for ethnic officers and ministries and provide resources and support. Her passions are discipleship, church life, and ministries among minority communities. She brings tremendous personal experience and professional training, giving her a broad view of the church's ministry within The Salvation Army. This year Pili hopes to start her Master's in Global Studies at Arizona State University.
Major Emmanuel Masango
Emmanuel serves as the Territorial Youth Secretary and Associate Candidates and Recruitment Secretary. He is a lifelong salvationist and was commissioned as an officer in 2008. He has held appointments as a Corps officer in Portland, Oregon and Sacramento Citadel. He has also served as a Divisional Youth Secretary in the Cascade Division. Emmanuel holds a BA in Leadership and Ethics from Nazarene Bible College and an MA in Christian Ministry from Grand Canyon University.
Captain John Morrow
John was commissioned as an officer in 2011. He is currently serving at the Vancouver Corps in the NW Division. John holds a B.S. in Human Development from Warner Pacific University and a Master of Divinity from Portland Seminary (George Fox University). During his MDiv program, John concentrated his specialization in spiritual formation and acquired a supplemental Certificate in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship. John is currently working on his Doctorate in Theology from Kairos University
Dr. Ruth Mulnard
Ruth is Professor Emerita at the Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing and the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of California Irvine where she has been an educator and researcher for more than thirty years. Ruth holds a doctoral degree in nursing science from the University of San Diego. Ruth currently serves as the Chair of the Cadet Life Committee, and represents the Board on the Territorial Candidates Council.
Dr. David Nystrom
David serves as the Chair of the Board and of the Executive and Nominating Committee. David is a Professor of New Testament at Western Seminary, and holds a PhD from the University of California. Additionally, he has been a Professor at North Park University in Chicago, the Academic Vice President at William Jessup University, and the Provost and Senior Vice President at Biola University. A specialist in New Testament, David is the author of five books and numerous articles on New Testament, first century and the history of Christianity. He has been married to Kristina for 41 years.
Major Jennifer Perine
Jennifer (Jenni) was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 1998. She has served in four corps appointments, CFOT, and Sierra Del Mar divisional headquarters (San Diego, CA). She is currently appointed as the corps officer for Tustin Ranch Corps (Tustin, CA) and Divisional Secretary for Orange County. Jenni holds a M.A. from San Diego State University in Linguistics with a specialization in teaching English as a second language and a B.A. from UCLA in French and Linguistics. Before becoming a Salvation Army officer Jenni taught in both public and private (Christian) schools in California at the adult school, high school, and elementary school levels.
Jenni has experience in multiculturalism, curriculum development and design, and Christian education. She is also a Cultural Intelligence trainer. While on CFOT staff she taught homiletics, English 101, and the multicultural seminar. Additionally, Jenni has a passion for teaching the Word of God and for teaching others how to teach the Word of God. Her background in education makes her well-suited to doing both. She is married to Major Kenneth Perine. They have three children: son, Jonah Perine, daughter Courtney (Camron) Hauer, and daughter Bethany (Caleb) Koopman.
Dr. F. Leland (Lee) Reitler
Lee earned his undergraduate degree at Claremont College in Pomona. He attended medical school and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Reitler is board certified in Family Medicine and holds a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). Though now retired, he continues to use his years of experience in primary care medicine and his MBA towards his passion of improving the efficiency of health care delivery and for primary care medicine.
Mr. Dean Reuter
Dean is a licensed architect in California, previously managing Reuter and Reuter, Inc. in Torrance, CA as his own company since 1990. He is an active Rotarian, having served as President of the Del Amo Club in 2008-2009. He was the designer for the Journey of Faith Church in Torrance, CA. He graduated from the University of Southern California School of Architecture and Fine Arts and retired from the Army Corps of Engineers with the rank of Captain with the Army Commendation medal with oak leaf cluster. In 2011 he received the Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award by the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Viktor Rzeteljski
Viktor serves as the Treasurer of the Board and is the Chair of the Business Administration and Advancement Committee. He serves as Board member, advisor and volunteer to over a dozen organizations meeting the social, educational, business, and religious needs of the community in the Los Angeles area. Prior to his retirement, Viktor worked 35 years for KPMG in various capacities including partner and business leader of consulting, audit, and tax practices. Viktor is a CPA and earned a degree in Business Administration from USC.
Isabelle Saber
Isabelle Saber is a newly retired educator whose career spanned 17 years of mathematics instruction, followed by ten years in various administrative roles as dean and vice president of instruction, all in the California Community College System. During the past decade, she was heavily involved in the crafting of Master Plans and accreditation reports; the selection of upward of 70 faculty and administrative employees; and the oversight of the faculty tenure process. Furthermore, she was responsible for the budget development in all academic areas, alongside the oversight of curriculum, instructional program development and revisions, catalog production, course scheduling, and meeting institutional enrollment targets.
Isabelle emigrated to the US in 1987 as a young adult and is fluent in four languages, currently working on perfecting a fifth. Her own mixed family background, travels, and exposure to many communities of color through her profession have facilitated her understanding of the challenges faced by various groups and reinforced in her the value of listening without judgment and approaching all living creatures with humility and compassion.
Dr. Deborah Taylor
Deborah was a private K-12 school administrator from 1990-20001. Following that, she served as a full-time faculty member at Biola University from 2001-2010. She was promoted to Associate Provost of Educational Effectiveness in 2010 where she served until 2015. She concluded her career at Biola as Provost and Senior Vice President from 2015-2022. She is currently engaged in part-time consulting work with Credo Higher Education Consulting firm. Deborah holds a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and a M.A. in Education from Biola University and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies, Research and Diversity from Claremont Graduate University.
Mr. David Tomblin
David began his real estate career as the founding partner of Tomblin & Associates, a family real estate partnership formed in 1974. Mr. Tomblin currently serves as President/Chief Executive Officer of Tomblin Asset Management Group, Inc., a real estate investment, development, and management firm which was founded in 1992 to service the expanding real estate ownership, with offices and operations in California, Arizona, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Washington and Minnesota. Tomblin Asset Management Group, and its affiliated partnerships and entities, has invested in, managed and re-developed real estate assets and investments of over $1.1 billion. In 2012, Highgrove Holdings Management, LLC, was formed as an affiliate of Tomblin Asset Management Group, Inc.
Colonel Eddie Vincent
Colonel Eddie Vincent was born and raised in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He was commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer in 1986 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Throughout his years of Officership, he, along with his wife Genevera, served 19 years in congregational ministry as Corps Officers at various locations across Canada. They also served in divisional youth leadership in two different divisions, for a total of 7 years. They served 4 years at the Canada and Bermuda Territorial Headquarters where Colonel Eddie was the Officer Personnel Secretary, followed by 6 years in divisional leadership in the Newfoundland and Labrador division. Colonel Eddie is an Arrow Leadership graduate, completed the Executive Leadership Development Program with Simon Fraser University, and has a master’s in leadership at Trinity Western University in British Columbia. Colonels Eddie and Genevera Vincent have two grown sons living in Calgary, Alberta. Their oldest son, Stephen, is a fire fighter and married to Melanie, who is a pre-school teacher. Stephen and Melanie just had their first baby, Callum Jeremiah Vincent, making Colonels Eddie and Genevera first-time grandparents. Their youngest son, Ryan, works with a Robotics Company doing software development.
