TRANSFORMERS – More
than meets the eye.
Our brigade set out for Santa
Clara, California ready to carry out the ministry. We spent time
preparing, practicing, and praying; and now the time had finally
come to live it out. We
went with our bibles, our sermons, and our songs.
We spent time ministering to children, seniors, and all in between. We
fed the homeless at Emmanuel House and spent time touring various facilities
spanning from the Golden State Divisional Headquarters to the Winchester Mystery
House.

“Remain
Flexible”, that was the quote of the week; however, most
things went as planned. We were dedicated, in everything
we did, to teaching those we came in contact with the meaning behind
our brigades scripture verse; Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I
urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies
as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your
spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the
pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's
will is—his
good, pleasing and perfect will.” However, our brigade
- who went to willingly to be used by God as Transformers to others,
began to be transformed. By carrying out God’s will
and calling, our minds, hearts, and souls became renewed.

Spring Campaigns was a blessing. It
was not seen as work, but instead, it became our spiritual act
of worship. We were indeed teachers, but also students. It
was great to have participated in Spring Campaigns during Holy
Week. We returned home at the end of the trip feeling full
of the hope that comes from the resurrection of Jesus Christ. |
