The Program
Curriculum
The academic offerings of the College for Officer Training exceed
the requirements for an accredited Associate of Arts in Ministries
degree and exceed the requirements of The Salvation Army National
Curriculum standard for the Certificate of Completion of Salvation
Army Officer Training. Instruction is given in Bible, Business,
Theology, Homiletics and Public Speaking, History, Ministry, Psychology
and Sociology, and Worship.
Field Training
A variety of field practicum activities are designed to provide
a practical application of classroom learning which focuses on
the development of skills and abilities in personal and public
ministry, preaching and worship, and Army administration.
Spiritual Formation
Although intrinsic to the educational and training program, Spiritual
Formation is an intentional part of the Training program and
includes corporate worship, group and individual prayer, instruction
and relationship in discipleship.
