The College for Officer Training at Crestmont is part of The Salvation Army, a worldwide organization dedicated to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ and serving the basic needs of humanity.

The college's mission is to develop men and women in knowledge, skills, spirit and character to be able to sustain and advance the mission of The Salvation Army as officers in the Western Territory.

The College for Officer Training at Crestmont is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 10 Commercial Blvd., Suite 204, Novato, CA 94949, (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
