A Night Of Praise And Worship
Written by, Cadet Anthony Barnes

Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, was a night of praise and worship for the cadets of the Training College.  Several cadets had taken the time to organize a 'praise and worship' meeting that was centered on restoration, renewal, and spending time with Jesus.  Songs such as, “Knowing You”, “Draw Me Close”, and “Blessed Be Your Name” just to name a few, were part of the line-up.  Several testimonies were given and praises to God were made in a successful attempt to share the love of Christ corporately.
“It was amazing to look around the room and see the majority of the people there visibly engaged in worship. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if the spirit of worship is affecting people, but tonight, you could really see it on their faces”, reported one cadet.  It was just amazing to see the various forms of worship, from some on their knees, to others walking around the room and singing excitedly.
It was truly a family affair.  Children and their parents were worshiping together.  However, fellow cadets took time to engage in prayer with, and for each other as well.  The family of God was strengthened just a bit more this evening.
In spite of all of the things going on within this campus, its times like these where we can take a step back and spend a moment with Christ, thanking Him for being ever faithful in providing us with all that we could ever want and more.  All the difficulties and struggles are worth it, if we can just keep our eyes focused on God.
